BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE
The BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize is an annual award hosted by the Hong Kong Alliance of Technology and Innovation, sponsored by the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. 2nd Hong Kong International Conducting Competition: 16 Candidates Display an Abundance of Talents and Passion
Music Director Emeritus of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Co-chair of the Jury, Yip Wing-sie, said that during the competition, the 16 candidates displayed an abundance of qualities which a top conductor possesses, including their ability to communicate with audiences, their passion for performing, and their desire to further their studies and professional development. He hoped that the competition would help them to enhance their professional skills, as well as their reputation, and contribute to the future development of the music industry in Hong Kong.
HK Outstanding Students Award: The Hong Kong Outstanding Students Award is one of the most recognized and prestigious awards for secondary school students in Hong Kong. It encourages outstanding students with exceptional personal qualities, exemplary character and a strong commitment to serving the community.
The Award is open to all Hong Kong students who have enrolled in S.3 to S.5 / Grades 9 to 11 (12-year System) or Years 10 to 12 (13-year System). Candidates should possess outstanding academic achievement, active engagement in extracurricular activities and extraordinary talents/achievements. They should have demonstrated a commitment to serving the community, morality and leadership.
